FAQs
How long will a made to order wedding dress take?
A Grace Loves Lace made to order wedding gown is typically made and ready to ship 5 months after you place the order. We offer Priority Made to Order for select gowns for an additional fee. Find out more here or ask your stylist for further information.
Is a made to order wedding dress more expensive than ready to wear?
No, made-to-order is actually around $300 less than ready-to-wear. Both share the same level of quality—the difference comes down to timing: ready-to-wear ships straight away, while made-to-order is produced after your purchase and takes around 5 months to arrive.
What does "made to order" mean for wedding dresses?
Made-to-order means your wedding dress is produced after your order is placed, rather than it being pre-made and held in stock. This is a sustainable approach that allows time for careful production while creating a dress prepared especially for your wedding day.
How does "made to order" gown sizing work?
Made to order gowns are offered in standard sizing ranging from XS-5XL. To choose the best size, you can use our Size Range Chart to compare your bust, under bust, waist and hip measurements. Our standard gown length is 155 cm, measured from the shoulder to the floor. As each gown is individually handcrafted, finished measurements may vary by up to +/- 2 cm within our standard production specifications. The length when worn may also vary depending on the gown's design, your body measurements and fit.
Can I make alterations to a made to order Grace Loves Lace gown?
Yes. For most made to order wedding gowns, brides choose simple, routine adjustments through their local seamstress. Small changes to length, straps or fit through the bodice. Our stylists can guide you on what's possible, keeping comfort and movement at the centre of any decision.
