Efrem and Rose in the Cupid Gown
A day of love and celebration, Efrem and Rose’s New Jersey wedding was classic and timeless, set in a unique former bank.
A Snowy Valentine’s Day Love Story
It was an otherwise ordinary Valentine’s Day weekend—one of those grey New York City days when love can feel like a distant idea—that Efrem and Rose found each other. They had matched on Hinge, and after a conversation over the phone, they decided to meet in person a few days later. It happened to snow on that day, which could be discouraging in NYC, but without hesitating, they both showed up. They laughed and talked until the restaurant closed, and somewhere between the starters and the last call, something lasting took hold. Efrem would later say, without hesitation, that by the last call, he knew she was ‘The One.’
Four years later, on Christmas morning, wearing matching pyjamas and surrounded by family, Efrem gave Rose a photo book with a picture of her on the cover—an archive of their life together, captured in snapshots over the years. On the final page, it read, Will you marry me? Efrem dropped to one knee, Rose said yes, and the room erupted in cheers. What made the moment even more special was learning that he had spent the three weeks leading up to that day chasing down her mother and eldest brother to ask for their blessing.
A Classic and Timeless Wedding in New Jersey
Efrem and Rose wed on a sunny, windswept October day in Ridgewood, New Jersey—the perfect middle ground for their loved ones travelling from all corners of NYC and beyond. They chose a former bank as their venue, drawn to its architectural character: soaring ceilings, tall windows, and timeless details. There was something poetic about the space, something symbolic about exchanging vows in front of the original vault. It was, to them, a metaphor for their love: strong, enduring, built to last.
The two got ready separately before sharing their first look in the old treasury room, enjoying a few quiet moments before the ceremony. As the afternoon unfolded, guests sipped cocktails while the couple moved through the room, absorbing every moment of the day. Later, they entered the reception through the venue’s double doors to a grand entrance that felt like pure electricity. “We felt every bit of the love in the room with everyone cheering us on,” Rose says.
Saying ‘Yes’ to Cupid
Rose first visited Grace Loves Lace alone, wanting to get a feel for different silhouettes without the pressure of other opinions. “If you’re undecided, it really helps to eliminate what doesn’t work,” she says. The solo appointment allowed her to explore and narrow in on her style before bringing her loved ones into the moment.
On her second visit, she returned with her bridal party. Ahead of the appointment, she had reached out to her stylist, who mentioned that in addition to her original selects, a new collection had just landed in-store that she might like to see. Among these was the Cupid gown, which caught Rose’s eye. And once she had slipped into the right size, everything fell into place. “I knew it was the one,” she recalls. “I felt pretty, classic—completely myself in it.”
They styled the look with our Pearly Long Veil, practiced walking down the aisle in-store, and even played her wedding song as the stylists handed her a bouquet. The appointment ended in celebration, toasting to the dress. Everyone agreed—she’d found the one.
