Small Town Charm

The couple’s relationship took root naturally, both growing up in a quaint farm town, they met through mutual connections and quickly fell in love. Katherine describes their love as an intense feeling, “There's a connection between us solidified simply by the way he looks at me. He makes me feel like nothing else exists when we are together,” the bride shares.

At the beginning of their relationship, “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton became their anthem, playing every time they were on a date. It soon became their song. On the couple’s fourth anniversary, Carl took Katherine to a Chris Stapleton concert. As their song filled the air, Carl got down on one knee in the middle of the crowd and asked Katherine to spend forever by his side.

A Western Elopement in the Heart of the Sawtooth Mountains, Idaho

Carl and Katherine eloped in the awe-inspiring landscapes of Stanley, Idaho, a place that holds special significance for the couple. “Stanley Idaho is the most beautiful place we have ever been and wanted to solidify our love in such a special place, Katherine reflects. Their elopement embodied their shared love for travel and the outdoors, with the couple camping out at their wedding spot after arriving in their camper van.

Surrounded by their loved ones, they exchanged vows and shared a champagne toast as the sun dipped below the mountains. The evening continued with an intimate dinner, cake cutting, and dancing around a bonfire. As their family bid them farewell, Carl and Katherine spent the night camping under the stars, awakening to a breathtaking sunrise over the mountains.

Their elopement was a timeless celebration of love and adventure, providing cherished memories for both the couple and their loved ones. “We wanted to elope with our most intimate loved ones and start our adventure of marriage on... well an adventure,” Katherine shares.

A Country Bridal Style

Katherine had envisioned her wedding day among the mountains, barefoot, in a simple dress. I wanted a deep plunge backless dress that was simple but elegant,” she explains. Summer wasn’t the dress she had initially considered, but her bridal stylist chose it after hearing Katherine's vision. As soon as I put it on, I gasped like in the movies and knew it was the dress,” recalls the bride. The gasps of awe from her family confirmed it when she emerged from behind the curtain; it was unanimous the dress was perfect.

Katherine adored the Summer gown for its simplicity, accentuating her body and making her feel sexy, without compromising on comfort. To enhance the dress's beauty, the bride opted for embroidered sage green cowgirl boots, perfectly in line with the Western style of their wedding.
